Autumnal atmosphere, oratorium at Shinobazunoike Pond Tokyo
Shinobazunoike Bentenji Temple is located in Taito-ku, Tokyo, and is officially called Myoho-renge-kyo-ji Temple. The temple was founded by Nichiren, founder of Nichiren Buddhism. Shinobazunoike Benten Hall is located on the northern shore of Shinobazunoike Pond, which is part of Ueno Onshi Park. Shinobazunoike Pond is an artificial lake built in the Edo period (1603-1868) and is filled with beautiful lotus flowers in summer. The Shinobazunoike Benten Hall is a popular place for people to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ueno Park together with these lotus flowers.
