Izumozaki Town, Niigata Prefecture, is the birthplace of Ryokan Osho.
The statue here is one that symbolizes that he was a person full of charity from anecdotes such as playing with children.. The place where this statue is located is called "Ryokan and Yuhi-no-oka Park", and it is located on the Toragishi Hill overlooking the Sea of Japan. In 1982, it was selected as one of "The 100 Best Niigata Scenic Spots". The statues of the three were illuminated by the setting sun and felt very vivid.
