This lighthouse is located on the Japan Sea Sunset Line in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture.
There is Kakudahama beach near this lighthouse.
This lighthouse is also certified as a "lighthouse in love" sponsored by the Japan Romanticist Association and The Nippon Foundation. Also, below this lighthouse is a cave. This cave is called "Bankan Funakakushi."
It was said that an old Japanese military commander hid with a boat in this cave to escape from the enemy.
