Hachimantai "Dragon Eye" Akita
Another name for the "Kagaminuma" near the summit of Hachimantai at an altitude of 1613 meters that spans Iwate and Akita prefectures when the snow melts.
Water flows into Kagami-numa, which was covered with snow, by the melting of snow, the surface of the lake gradually emerges from the edge of the swamp, and a snow island remains in the center.
Since this figure looks like a "dragon's eye", it has come to be called "Dragon Eye".
It is a valuable landscape that can only be seen for about two weeks from mid-May to mid-June every year.
