Big Katsura tree in Itoi. Hyogo
A big tree said to be 2,000 years old.
The main trunk has decayed and is hollow,
but 80 hikobae trees support it as if to protect it.
The tree has repeatedly regenerated throughout its long history, and one cannot help but feel the mystery of life.
