The Kiyotsu Gorge was designated as a national park in September 1948. The shape of the rock is called a columnar joint and has a very beautiful shape.
This canyon is one of the three largest canyons in Japan, along with Kurobe and Osugi valleys.
You can enjoy the wonderful scenery throughout the four seasons. Especially in autumn, the entire valley is covered with red and yellow and you can see a very beautiful scene. In addition, the "Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel" is an extremely popular spot for Instagram, which is very popular.
